37Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40
These commandments given to us by Jesus is how I try to live my life, it has been a journey, learning to love God with all my soul. Firstly I had to learn how to acknowledge my soul and then open my spiritual eyes and ears to hear. As a faith filled questioning Christian, I have learnt to do all things in love. I have worked as a Pastoral Leader and a Pastor. I have taught the Diploma of Christian Counselling and have facilitated pilgrimages to both Israel and Greece. My faith incorporates the Holy Scripture including the Apocrypha and other books not in the bible. I am inspired by Mother Teresa, Francis of Assisi, Saint Bridget and the writings of both the Gnostics and the Mystics. The verse that describes counselling and how the Spirit of Wisdom helps guides me in my session is Wisdom 8v 8And if anyone longs for wide experience, she knows the things of old, and infers the things to come; she understands turns of speech and the solutions of riddles; she has foreknowledge of signs and wonders and of the outcome of seasons and times.
