Privacy Policy
How we look after the details you trust us with.
Effective 21 August 2026
This policy explains how Life Bridge Pty Ltd collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information through lynbaird.com. We take care to say only what this website actually does.
Who we are
This website is operated by:
Life Bridge Pty Ltd
ABN 29 132 643 497
13 Norval Court
Maroochydore QLD 4558
Australia
It is the website of author Lyn Baird. When this policy says “we”, “us” or “our”, it means Life Bridge Pty Ltd.
The best way to reach us about privacy is hello@lynbaird.com.
The information we collect
We only collect what we need to run the site and to answer you.
Information you give us
- The Circle. First name and email address, if you join the Circle for occasional letters.
- Messages. Name, email address, the subject you choose, and your message, if you write through the Connect page or to hello@lynbaird.com.
- Retreat interest. Name, email and any note you send about The Threads Between Us. An expression of interest is not a booking.
Information collected automatically
- Technical logs from our host (such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and the time of the visit) so the site can be served and kept secure.
- Which door you came through when you join the Circle (for example, the homepage or the Connect page), so we know which invitation you answered.
We do not currently run advertising pixels or analytics cookies on this website. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
We use personal information to:
- send the letters you asked for, and nothing else we have not told you about
- answer messages about books, speaking, the retreat, Serenity Unveiled, media or a collaboration
- keep a note of retreat interest until bookings are offered
- operate, protect and improve the website
- meet our legal obligations, including Australian privacy and spam law
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it to send marketing you have not asked for. You can leave the Circle at any time.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to provide the service:
- Mailchimp (Intuit) holds Circle subscriptions — name, email and a tag for how you joined.
- Vercel hosts the website and may process technical logs.
- Email. Messages sent through the site are delivered as ordinary email to hello@lynbaird.com.
- Google Fonts are loaded from Google so the typefaces can appear. Google may receive a technical request from your browser. See our Cookie Policy.
Some of these companies store information outside Australia, including in the United States. If you join the Circle or visit the site, you understand that this may happen. We take reasonable steps to work with providers who handle information carefully.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Life Bridge Pty Ltd, Lyn Baird, or others.
The law that applies
We are an Australian company. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Email we send is intended to comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we still collect only what you give us or what is needed to run the site, and we use it for the purposes above. You may also have rights under UK GDPR or EU GDPR, including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, where those laws apply.
How long we keep it
Circle details stay on the list until you unsubscribe or we close the list. Messages are kept as long as needed to answer you and to keep a responsible record of the correspondence. Hosting logs are kept only as long as our host retains them for security and operation. We delete or de-identify information when we no longer need it.
Your choices
- Leave the Circle using the unsubscribe link in any letter, or by writing to us.
- Ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us not to contact you, other than where we must.
Write to hello@lynbaird.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. If you are in the UK, you may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children
This website is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have, please write to us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. No website or email system is completely secure. Please take care with what you send us.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page will change when we do. The current version will always live at this address.
